In general, in electronically controlled braking systems, pressure modulator valves are used to modulate pressure in the brake actuators in response to electronic control unit signals. ABS= Anti-lock Braking System-Pressure modulator valves are used to modulate the brake pressure given by the brake pedal to avoid wheel locking. ASR= Anti-spin Regulation (also known as Traction Control)-Pressure modulator valves are used to control driving torque of the axle by supplying air to the rotating drive wheel's brake actuator. The pressure is regulated in such a manner that the spin of the wheel is reduced, allowing the torque of the motor to be transferred to the other drive wheel with a higher road adhesion tyre.
