Pneumatic lift axle control valves are used to control the air suspended lift axles semi-automatically or fully automatically. All valves automatically lower the lift axle when the suspension air bags of the non-liftaxle(s) reach a predetermined pressure. Fully adjustable is the pressure at which the valve lowers the lift axle. Versions are available with single and dual circuit control. A version of the valve is available with the additional use of a solenoid valve that allows the laden axle to be temporarily lifted. This function is electronically activated from the tractor cab and is intended to provide extra stability capability on the drive axles of the tractor since the drive axle will see an improvement in load when the truck lift axle is lifted.
